Having a Positive Mental Attitude about Dating

By Rion Williams This article isn’t going to be about what you thought it might be. I’m not here to tell you that having a good attitude and ‘keep getting out there’ is going to cut it. I’m not a ‘mainstream’ dating coach until more men are ready to accept their power and then maybe I’ll be ‘mainstream’. I teach things of power and effectiveness; I’m not here to further propagate a mainstream social agenda that only makes you more frustrated about women and dating while coating over the truth. It’s not that this article is going to be overly pessimistic either; however if you’re tired of being ignorantly naive when it comes to understanding women and dating, you’re in the right place. It’s time for some real answers that look into why things are so difficult and how to change them for real results instead of doing what everyone else is doing. To do so, we have to look deeper than the mainstream ‘dating coaches’. We have to look at the truth or the closest thing to it of male and female behaviorism across natural, inner and social levels. Once you can understand the root of a woman’s behavioral characteristics and can define them, you’ll have a lot more knowledge, clarity and power around women. You’ll have cognition and instead of you being ignorant and women being a mystery you’ll be in a position where you don’t have to be used by other people’s agendas. You can seek out and lead the types of relationships that you desire. I would rather have cognition of the truth than to be ignorant in bliss. I sought the truth and believe me that the ignorance was not very blissful. There are guys out there who do have a happy naievete about everything. Many of them don’t care to know why even they keep failing or why women act a certain way, they would rather keep ‘being themselves’ and happily naive to reality and the powers that are influencing them. They can have a positive attitude about dating as long as they are unaffected by the great power game but for most socialized men, they HAVE been affected too much to just be ignorantly happy. If a tree falls in the middle of a rainforest but no one hears it, does it make a sound? Of course it does. Seek the truth and you will come close to finding it. The truth is not pretty. It’s not as bad as in ‘The Matrix’ but it’s a similar metaphor. Once you can free yourself from all co-dependencies and powers that are using you (after you can see them), then you will be able to have more personal power and effect than ever in life before. From there you can understand the root influence of why women act the way they do and what it means to you so that you can maintain power, control and win/win relationships with them while clearing knowing who you are keeping your own power. Then, you can live a robust, happy and social life of much more power than before because the roadblocks you have moved out of the way. You’ll have cognition. You won’t be naive. The truth will age you in maturity but it’s worth it. Having a ‘great attitude’ without cognition of the true relational reality isn’t going to do it for most guys because there are too many roadblocks and unanswered questions. You’re going to get out there and start getting depressed because you don’t understand the power game that is going on. You won’t be able to figure out why women aren’t calling you back, why you keep chasing them and getting nowhere. Study relational dynamics and you’ll actually have a reason to be happy about dating and going out with women again because you’ll be able to be what women want and knowing what objections to help THEM overcome to get there as well. Rion Williams is one of the foremost experts in dating advice, personal power and relational dynamics. He is well-known within the seduction community itself. His work focuses on the regaining and improving of real character within frustrated men who do don’t want to ‘act’, use pick-up lines or techniques to get women. He teaches modern men how to truly be natural and comfortable in their own skin to consistently succeed with women, attraction and dating. Batman Party: Great For The Young Boy In Your Life

By Gail Leino Dressing as a superhero is the imaginary game all boys enjoy playing at a young age. Batman is one of their favorite heroes. That infamous mask with the pointed ears and the long black cape is worn by kids at Halloween and year round. So, why not throw your child a Batman party for his next birthday? To start your party, you will need to find your party supplies. Invitations, paper goods, decorations, thank you notes and party favors can be found at both local stores or online. Make sure if you order supplies online for your Batman party that you leave plenty of time for shipping. Next you will need to think about the cake. If you wish to get a specialty cake from the local bakery or grocer, be sure to order at least a week in advance. Have a designated person to pick up the cake and make sure the vehicle is air conditioned in hot weather to avoid melting the icing. Party games at a Batman party will be a big hit! Why not have Pin the Bat on the Bat Signal (instead of the traditional donkey) or Batman May I (instead of the traditional mother)? You can also play something like Hot Batmobile by passing a toy Batmobile around a circle or Musical Chairs to music from one of the Batman Movies or the animated series. Last, you can do an activity where the kids will decorate a bat shaped cookie. Bake some plain sugar cookies cut out in the shape of a bat. Buy various icings and sprinkles and your kids will have a fun treat while they watch a Batman cartoon. There are so many ideas for a Batman party! Just be sure to plan ahead, so your party will not be rushed and it will be an enjoyable event instead of a stressful one. The Gospel of Judas Christianity’s Most Wanted in a New Light

By David Maillie Judas Iscariot is the person who betrayed Jesus Christ and had stood as one of the most hated men in history. That is until the Gospel of Judas came along and shattered all myths. Considered the greatest archaeological find in the last sixty years, the Gospel of Judas has had the Christian world up in flames, by presenting Judas in an entirely different light. Gospels hold a great significance in Christianity. They are actually early Christian literatures that recount the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Vatican Church regards the four books in the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, as the four canonic gospels. These canonic gospels almost constitute the foundation of Christianity and Christians all around the world have come to understand Jesus as the New Testament has presented him. The four canonic gospels of the New Testament brand Judas as a traitor. According to the New Testament, Judas was a greedy person, who identified Jesus with a kiss in front of the Roman soldiers and had him caught. And all for 30 pieces of silver. Thus stands Judas as the most heinous conspirator in the Christian world. Later however, Judas, filled with remorse, returned the money and took his life. The Gospel of Judas has created quite a stir with revelations that go right against the writings in the Bible. Written in the form of dialogues between Jesus and Judas, the gospel begins with the proclamation that it is the secret account of the revelation that Jesus spoke in conversation with Judas Iscariot. The Gospel of Judas has stirred the hornets nest. Hidden for about 2,000 years and discovered only in the late 1970s in Egypt to be stolen again and resurface in 2005, the discovery of the gospel is in itself an epical mystery. Written in Coptic language, the gospel has been scientifically traced back to sometime between 220 and 340 A.D. The mammoth translation process of the Gospel of Judas was undertaken with the funding of the National Geographic Society, and the world got to know about the facts with the revelation of the gospel itself at the National Geographic Society Headquarters and a special episode aired on the channel on April 9, 2006. As the gospel reveals, Judas is the closest ally of Jesus Christ and also his closest confidante. In fact, Jesus even considered him worthy amongst all his followers, to receive his special teachings. Thus Christ takes Judas aside saying, Step away from the others and I shall tell you the mysteries of the kingdom One interpretation of the Gospel of Judas is that Jesus was feeling trapped inside his body and wanted someone to free him. And he preferred to be released by a friend rather than a foe. Jesus chose Judas for this act and told him, you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me. The Gospel of Judas has challenged some age-old beliefs. Skeptics are raising doubts about the authenticity and the antiquity of the gospel, while the Archbishop of Canterbury deems the gospel to be more along the lines of the eccentric fringes of the early century Church that is being capitalized on by the conspiracy theorists. While the world is still trying to come to terms with these newly unearthed facts about the traitor, Judas waits in the wings for his share of justice. The Gospel of Judas, it seems, has raised more questions than answers. Why Be A Volunteer? What’s In It For Me?

By Marilyn Barnicke Belleghem What is in it for me, to volunteer my time and energy? Volunteering allows me to be part of a group of respected, well meaning people who serve others. In my volunteer work, I find like minded people who share my vision to be part of a happier well functioning community. Personal relationships dont work, people work at having good relationships. Giving is part of making relationships work. When I started volunteering, I was intimidated at the wealth of skills and abilities among the volunteers. I met many hard working people doing meaningful work. I also found appreciation for my skills. There was a great sense of conviviality, lots of laughs and stories galore. When I thought I couldnt manage the work load, I found amazing support from other volunteers. I came to realize it was partly my independence and as an eldest daughter my characteristic of taking on too much and not wanting to ask for help. Every part of life asks us to make an investment in time and often money. Where we invest determines how our life evolves. My investment in volunteering, has included: by being on a board, attending and presenting at meetings and conferences, driving and shopping with and for others, reading, writing and distributing literature, stuffing envelopes, making phone calls, canvassing, managing fund raising events, selling at fundraisers, listening to the frustration of others and offering support and advice, and more. What do I get from volunteering depends on what I give. Being a volunteer has enriched my life by bringing satisfaction when goals are reached, introducing me to new and interesting people, giving me opportunities to learn new skills and helping me have a sense of being a part of the solution to the problems in life. I cannot imagine my life without the wonderful experiences I have had as a volunteer. How To Balance Your Checkbook Instantly!

By Valerie Mills Do you cringe each month when you see your bank statement arrive online or via snail mail? You can banish traditional checkpoint balancing forever. How? By taking advantage of your banks between statements record-keeping. Its perfectly legit and accomplishes exactly the same goal as statement balancing, but Instant Balancing is faster and simpler. After all, the point of checkbook balancing is to make sure your bank hasnt made any mistakes . . . and/or that you havent. Either way, most people want to avoid bouncing checks or the ever-embarrassing ATM insufficient funds message. HEY! WHAT ABOUT MY BANKING SOFTWARE? You say you have software for balancing your checkpoint? Get rid of it if all it does is balancing. This software compares bank records against its records and then you have to update your written checkbook records. These activities create way too much opportunity for error. WHAT YOU NEED FOR INSTANT BALANCING 1. Your checkbook, the written one. If you insist on keeping the balancing program, then have the program checking account ready to review also. If you only keep your transactions in your software program, make sure its up-to-date. 2. Internet access. A simple dialup connection works just fine. An Internet security program is a must. 3. Access to your checking account ONLINE. Why? Because youll need any time access to do Instant Balancing. If you dont have this access, call your bank and find out how to get it. Usually, you need a web site name and a username and password. WHEN TO DO INSTANT BALANCING How often you Instant Balance depends on how many transactions you generate in a given time frame. The greater the number of transactions, the higher the possibility of errors. A guideline is to Instant Balance 1 to 2 weeks after the last time you wrote a bunch of transactions, like after youve paid the household bills. If your timing is good, you may not have any balancing to do at all! 6 INSTANT BALANCING TIPS 1. Use a calculator for checkbook additions and subtractions. Even if youre a math wizard, youll make mistakes. 2. Because you may be logging onto the internet account infrequently, you may forget your user name and password. Record the information and put it in a safe place. 3. Your bank account internet access may time out after a certain number of minutes. Just log on again. 4. Most internet banks allow you to isolate transactions between certain dates. Use this feature it cuts down on the number of transactions to review. 5. Recent studies shows that 12% of identity theft occurs online. If you are afraid of accessing your bank transactions online because of identity theft, dont do it. Stick with the paper statement balancing routine. 6. Instant Balancing works best when your checkbook is up to date. It will instantly become Frustrated Balancing if you left out a few key postings, like an ATM withdrawal or an automatic deposit. HOW TO USE INSTANT BALANCING Remember the goal – your checkbook balance must agree with the banks balance. The assumption is that the bank has the right number. So, the banks balance wont change, but your checkbook balance might. The steps in the next section may seem a wee bit detailed at first. But, good news theres 3 youre DONEs scattered throughout the steps. If youre lucky, youll be finished after step 2. As with any new process, it may take a few times before youre comfortable with Instant Balancing. The secret to Instant Balancing is timing. If your timing is good, youll finish at step 4. If its great, youll finish an instant after you access your online bank balance. INSTANT BALANCING STEPS 1. Sign onto your banks web site and access your checking account transactions (in date order, latest transactions first. 2. Look at the banks balance and then your checking account balance. If they agree, youre DONE. 3. If they dont agree, figure out the date you last balanced your checkbook. Find the transactions in the banks online records but NOT in your checkbook from that date forward to the present. Record these transactions (checks/debits or deposits/credits) in your checkbook. Do the math to bring your balance up to date. 4. Look at the banks balance and then your updated checking account balance. If they agree, youre DONE. 5. If they dont agree, remember the date you last balanced your checkbook. Find the transactions are in your checkbook but NOT in the banks online records from that date forward. On a piece of scrap paper, ADD the transaction checks/debits to your checkbook balance. SUBTRACT the transaction deposits/credits from your checkbook balance. 6. Look at the banks balance and then your updated checking account balance. If they agree, youre DONE. 7. If they dont agree, either the bank made an error or you did when you Instant Balanced. Try comparing the bank transactions against yours to find out whos in error(s). If this doesnt work, you made a math error. Give it to someone else to check. Expectations of a Relationship – Do You Follow Them Yourself?

By Alisa Chagnon We all know what we need and want out of a loving, healthy relationship. There may be a slight variance; however, there are some basic solid principles that stand up to create relationship guidelines. It has occurred to me, that perhaps the reason it is so difficult for people to find a long-term, meaningful and satisfying relationship is that we are asking for things that we cannot even give to ourselves. If we expect another person to follow these guidelines and fit into the mold of what we conceive of as a loving partner, shouldnt we begin by having a fabulous relationship with ourselves? Lets look at five of the basic requirements of what should be in place for a relationship to take off and possibly lead to marriage. Honestly, respect, loyalty, physical attraction, and a fun loving enthusiastic personality. Lets breakdown these five characteristics and see where it leads us. Honesty: perhaps one of the most important elements of a trusting and loving relationship. If you are in a relationship with a person who does not possess a high standard of honesty, you will never be able to fully trust them. When in a relationship, we should be able to completely and unequivocally believe everything that our partner tells us. If a person lies, you mind as well be having a fake and meaningless conversation. Are you even honest with yourself? When youre out clothes shopping and you have acquired more than a handful of clothes, do you tell yourself that its alright to add the bill to your credit card and that you deserve to splurge, (despite that fact that your way over your head in debt)? Are you in out of relationships and in each instance you tell yourself that the other person was at complete fault, that you had absolutely no contributing factors for any of the breakups that youve endured? Do you sometimes find yourself yelling at a loved one and you tell yourself that you had every right to make them feel horrible? If any of these apply to you, you are not even honest with yourself. How can you expect the person of your next relationship to be honest to you? Respect: a word that calls for attention. No one in their right mind would be happy if someone disrespected them. How many of you have spent a night of drinking with friends during the week, woke up the next day with a splitting headache and wanted to or did call into work sick? Did you then tell yourself that you are just fine, you do not drink too much and you have everything under control? When its late at night, youre starving, and about to reach into the fridge for a snack, do you tell yourself that its not a big deal if you eat half that pint of ice cream, even though you are on a diet for health reasons? As you take a deep drag off of your cigarette, do you tell yourself that youll quit someday , that youre just fine for now and cancer is something that you only need to think about in the future? If any of these apply to you then you do not have complete respect for yourself. And once again, how can you expect a person in a relationship to have show respect? Loyalty: A key element in any relationship. If we dont have loyalty from another person, we can not truly feel safe in the relationship. How many of you have worked for a company and declared your loyalty to that company and then gave your two-weeks-notice when a position opened up elsewhere that paid more money? How many of you have never cheated on another person? By this, cheating will be defined by kissing another, have a secret meeting for lunch or dinner, phone calls, or yes, even sex, while in a relationship with anyone. If any of these apply to you, you have not displayed loyalty. And now you are asking for it from someone else? Physical attraction: A needed component of a healthy relationship. We have instilled in us certain needs that make us attracted or not attracted to another person. If we are in a relationship, we certainly want to feel a high attraction to the other person, which leads to a great sex life and a general feeling of compatibility. What is your perception of yourself? When you glance in a mirror, do you think about the wrinkles you see? When youre getting dressed, do you try on ten different outfits because you feel that the first nine made you look fat? Do you grimace at the thought of parading around the beach in a bikini because you think that everyone in the world should look model perfect? No one can look like a model, except for models! Even then, if you knew the makeup, hair stylists and airbrushing that was involved you would understand that they do not even look like themselves in real life. If any of the above applies to you, you do not have a good self-image and/or you have low self-esteem. If you are not even attracted to yourself, do you think its fair to expect your partner in the relationship to be great looking and be attracted to you? They look at clues that you exude, ie: self-confidence and it helps gauge their opinions of your looks. Start appreciating the unique person that you are. Lastly, a fun loving, enthusiastic personality. No one in a relationship wants to spend a large amount of time with someone who is boring, dull and unable be fun companions. Do you dread waking up in the morning because you hate your job? Alternatively, do you love your career and concentrate on it so much, leaving very little time for fun in your life? Do you run through your chores at home complaining about the never-ending mess on the floor, laundry that never seems to go away and dishes that seem to appear out of nowhere? Do you go through the food store as fast as possible, no smile on your face and a get out of my way expression? If you spend most of your life annoyed at things and you dont take time out to appreciate life, how can you be a fun partner in a relationship and at the same time expect the other person to be one? Lifes is far from perfect, but to be someones special love, you need to slow the heck down and realize that having a bad outlook on life is going to get you nowhere. Honesty, loyalty, respect, physical attraction, and a great personality: do you want these elements in a perspective relationship? If so, ask yourself a very important question. If you cannot have a good relationship with yourself, how can you expect to find one with another person? This article was written by Alisa Chagnon, webmaster of the Love Bulletin. Choice Of Law In Syndicated Loans And Bonds

By M Shahid Usman INTRODUCTION: Any relationship between two entities, either persons or institutions, cannot be established except in accordance with some set of rules. These rules may be unenforceable norms or customs of a group or society, or some explicit laws having a binding and enforceable authority. A contract is a formal structure of a relationship between two or more parties, binding them together into a contractual relationship; and imposing upon them certain obligations and granting them certain rights over each other. In case of any problem with these obligations or rights, law of the land would come into action. But if the contracting parties belong to different lands, then there would arise a question as to law of which land should come into force. If the contracting parties have no earlier consensus over this issue, then it is more likely that the problem would remain unresolved; and one or more parties would suffer the loss. Hence, the need to decide at the time of making contract, as to which law would be followed. CHOICE OF LAW IN SYNDICATED LOANS AND BONDS: Similar is the case of the financial contract. Every legal issue under a financial contract must be determined in accordance with a system of law. An aspect of a contract cannot exist in a legal vacuum.(1) Syndicated loans and bonds are mostly international in their character. They usually involve borrowers and lenders from various countries; and the greater the number of countries involved the greater the number of municipal systems of law which have to be considered.(2) As there is not single set of International laws that could effectively govern the syndicated loans and bonds, it is necessary for the parties to these contracts to choose an agreed system of law. A syndicated loan agreement normally is contracted between the highly sophisticated institutions like banks, corporations, state corporations, and even the sovereign states themselves. It involves a number of systems of law (even a single bank operating internationally can be subject to different systems of law)(3). The international bond issues, too, involve issuers and investment banks from different countries. In some respects, international bonds (Eurobonds) are even more international than the syndicated loans, as they are sold to the public at large, and the individuals and other entities buy and sell them in numerous jurisdictions. During this course of business a number of transactions involving numerous legal documents take place. With these transactions rights and liabilities shift from one entity to another very frequently. When it happens in different systems of law, it creates ambiguity about which law should apply in which case. This ambiguity makes the business vulnerable to unpredictable situations. Eventually the whole business market suffers serious damage. In order to reduce such uncertainty to a minimum, an attempt is made in practice to apply one system of law to the transaction and to exclude as far as possible the applicability of other systems of law with which the transaction may have some connection. This is generally sought to be achieved in practice by a choice of law clause which subjects to one governing system of law _ the proper law _ the validity, enforceability and interpretation of the contractual and other legal documents which constitute the transaction.(4) The practicality provides the opportunity to the lender to have preference in choice of law, as in case of a dispute, it is his money that would need to be recovered. In case of the Euro bonds, where an investment bank helps in selling securities(5), the situation becomes different, as the lenders appear on scene after the bond is issued under certain terms including the matter of choice of law. In any case, while exercising the choice, it is preferred that such system is chosen that is familiar to the parties, so that the tendency of using certain type of financial transactions needs not to be changed. Further, the dealing with legal as well as business issues could be convenient. It is also important that the system chosen is greatly mature and the relevant jurisdiction enjoys good reputation for its impartiality. Political stability in that specific jurisdiction and convenience of language are also important factors in choosing a certain system of law(6). The incident of freezing of foreign currency accounts following imposition of emergency after the atomic tests in 1998(7), the stock market suffered such a huge loss that it took years to recover. In such a situation no serious financial activity can grow without fear of the unseen. While the enforcing forum is not less important a factor; the most significant factor of having the choice of law clause is the insulation of the loan contract from legal changes in the borrowers country.(8) While outlining the contract some of the essential documents would be prepared; for example, in case of a bond issue, the subscription agreement, the trust deed, the agreement between managers, the selling group agreement and the bond instruments themselves, and in case of the syndicated loan, the loan agreement. All of these legal documents would require validity, enforceability and when needed interpretation.(9) This could only be done under an agreed system of law. Determination of rights and liabilities and interpretation of the legal documents would involve a number of laws relevant to the different issue. These may include the securities law, principles of contract, interpretation of contracts law, insolvency law, negotiable instruments law, and the like. All these laws should relate to one system of law, so as to make their interpretation and implementation possible.(10) There are more than 310 jurisdictions in the world, which are grouped into nine classes i.e. Traditional English, American Common Law, Mixed Roman/common law, Germanic and Scandinavian, Mixed Franco-Latin/Germanic, Traditional Franco-Latin, Emerging Jurisdictions, Islamic Jurisdictions and Unallocated Jurisdictions(11). These categories are further combined into three major types: Common Law, Napoleonic and Roman-Germanic jurisdictions.(12) This much number of jurisdictions naturally has a potential to create problems in case of international syndicated loans and bonds where different systems of law would be involved. So, it becomes imperative to have choice of law clause in the legal documents. CONCLUSION: The term international, in the syndicated loans and bonds, entails multiple laws, forums and jurisdictions. The conflict of laws, in such a case, is natural. Combination of laws, given their different approaches, is not a workable proposition. Harmonization of financial laws at international level is still an idealistic suggestion. So, to form, interpret and execute the international contracts, there is a need to adopt a single system of law. This, the parties to a contract can choose at the time of the concluding of the contract. This is done to ensure the validity, enforceability and interpretation of all the legal documents relevant to the contracts of syndicated loans and bonds. It helps eliminate the uncertainty and unpredictability of the fate of a contract. Most ideally, it is an external law, having a potential to insulate the loan contract from legal changes, especially, in the borrowers country. English law worthy of playing such a role. There is another advantage of choosing it: it doesnt demand any connection of the lender or borrower with England. The fundamental importance of the inclusion of choice of law clause in the international syndicated loan agreements and the legal instruments of the bonds, is to get rid of the uncertainty concerning the expectations about the contract, by providing a workable legal mechanism to resolve all the legal issues which would arise from time to time.
